A History of the European Working Class - The Factory 1700-1820
Part 1/4
Description
From the beginning of the 18th century, a new economy appears in Great Britain, driven by industry and commerce. The farm workers of the country side must now work for wages in marge factories.
It is the birth of the British working class. It takes over a century for these new workers to invent its own culture, organization and make social demands: regulation of child labor, wages, hours of work, freedom of association, right to strike and universaa suffrage. A new revolution is underway.
