On April 15, 2019, the whole world, stunned, believed that the most famous cathedral, a jewel of Gothic architecture, the universal symbol of France and the history of Paris, was going to disappear. The one which was thought to be eternal suddenly appeared vulnerable, fragile. If this test was one of the most dreadful in the history of Notre-Dame de Paris, it is far from being the only one. Who knows how many times, in more than eight hundred years, it was near extinction to pick itself up each time?
