Hungary’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, has been highly successful at home winning four elections in a row. His illiberal politics of hollowing out democratic institutions, attacking independent media and scapegoating minorities is widely celebrated by far-right commentators across the world. But it is in Europe where his influence is most present as Orban is now exporting his ideology to countries across the EU.
