Monuments of Legend - Noble Gardens
Synopsis
The film offers a walk following the path of the water in the Castle of Fontainebleau in France and in the Palace of Alhambra in Spain. The spectator is led to discover various hydraulic systems, for irrigation or aquatic spectacle.
Through interviews with project managers, landscape planners and chief gardeners of the site, the film explains and comments on the different links between water circulation and the presence of vegetation in each location: separation of spaces (Fontainebleau) or a permanent mixture of the two (Alhambra).
