Heritage : Strategic Cultural Assets

Whether tangible or intangible, the cultural assets referred to by the term "heritage" are being restored, enhanced, protected and sometimes even destroyed. And if Malraux, accused of pillage on the Angkor site, declared that "culture is not inherited but conquered", it's because he knew that all cultural heritage is the object of greed and can give rise to conflict.
