Millennium Development Goals

17 Millennium Development Goals (known as "MDGs") have been set by the member states of the United Nations, following an agenda approved by the UN in September 2015.

3 pillars form the foundation: protecting the planet, eradicating poverty, guaranteeing prosperity for all.

5 areas of action embody these pillars, the "5Ps": People, Prosperity, Planet, Peace, Partnerships.

169 targets are to be achieved by 2030, and every year, governments are asked to report on their actions.

Education is at the heart of the MDGs, and here you'll find a few programs to help you think about tomorrow's world.
