In choosing a metal structure with foot-supports and triangular shapes, Jean Prouvé reuses his material of preference: folded sheet metal. At the end of World War II, the great French architectural designer, who lent all of his creativity to the process of reconstruction and social progression, continues a distinct path with the Compas table: to build, with the help of stainless steel elements, a series of furniture using industrial machines.
