Naturopolis - New York, the green revolution
Episode 1/4
Synopsis
How did the city forget or destroy it? How did nature manage to catch up with the megalopolis? Who are the men who, in the heart of the city, live only for nature? And why can a city like New York only survive if it invents a new pact with the environment, by agreeing to make its "sustainable" revolution?
This episode follows in the footsteps of an extraordinary character, Frédéric Durand, at the same time scientist, naturalist, poet and visionary. It is through his eyes that we explore the Big Apple: a look close to that of the naturalists of yesteryear, capable of deciphering scientific enigmas, of being passionate about men, of vibrating with the poetry of the world.
The Serie : “Naturopolis” will dive into the heart of some of the most original urban ideas, those that might ensure the success of a human-created ecosystem. Here lies the great challenge of the 21st century.
