Ikea, Our Happy Lives
Description
This film offers an original approach to understand who is the new middle class, through one of its common denominators: IKEA. From China, Israël, Russia and France, we will follow four families, and see how the furniture factory changed their lives, and allowed them to access not only a more comfortable lifestyle, but also a new social status.
As the world's largest furniture company IKEA also allows us to think about our role as citizens-consumers. A different approach that questions globalization and one of its consequences: the standardization of lifestyles.
