Mapping the World - Epidemics, A Long History
Description
We are all still suffering from both a health and economic crisis: the Covid-19 crisis.
We wanted to revisit the history and geography of the great epidemics through the ages. Studying them tells us the story of the evolution of trade between peoples. Likewise, they are eminently geopolitical in that they reveal the failings of states but also their assets. Epidemics have a long history that can be better understood while looking at the maps.
